Echo Juliet is the alias of Emily Jones: a producer, DJ and percussionist from the UK who has also spent over ten years curating live music. Her DJ sets are a journey through jazz, broken beat, leftfield electronic and soulful sounds, often making unexpected connections while always staying danceable. Previous DJ credits include SXSW, Green Man Festival, Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here Festival, London audiophile hotspot Spiritland, a residency for Soundcrash and guest hosting on Worldwide FM. Her own music blends hypnotic percussion loops, jazz and classical music with club influences such as garage and house; think Four Tet, Floating Points and Anchorsong. Her debut release in 2021 received support from Jamz Supernova, Mixmag, Jazz FM, BBC Introducing and Balamii to name a few. Behind the scenes, Emily also manages to find time to work for Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section label, is a founding member of DJ collective Selextorhood, and regularly speaks about gender equality in the music industry, including on BBC Woman’s Hour, Jazz FM and in the Guardian.

Xuan has been on a musical adventure for a big part of her life and has built up a modest collection of vinyl records (Modern Funk, R&B & Soul). Being the curious type, she has been active in the musical blogosphere and was involved with various music projects/concepts. She is excited to dive deeper into the infinite world of music, together with her co-hosts. Marcus joined the team recently and is the glue that holds everything together. He has been not only digging for records, but has also been DJ-ing for well over twenty years and loves to make people dance to Disco/Boogie, House, Brazilian and many other types of soulful music.
