DJ Martien V. grew up with music in the Classical genre. As a kid, she played the piano and drums. Soon she started collecting music and developed a great passion for Electronic Music in general, particularly for House Music.
She still has a great preference for the “Oldskool-sound” of Detroit and Chicago, two of the cities where the founders of House, Deephouse, Acid House and Techno came from. Martien says she was very lucky to have seen, and be part of the beginning of the House Music-scene in Amsterdam. She loved to go to Clubs like Roxy & Mazzo. Looking back at that inspiring period, her deep passion for House Music started there.

However Martien prefers to play underground Deephouse and House, she also really likes to play genres like Disco, Hiphop, Soul, Funk & Jazz.
